COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Ø
The class
will focus on the three aspects of learning French. These aspects are writing, speaking, and
hearing. Equal emphasis will be
placed on all three with the understanding that each student has different
learning styles and abilities.
MATERIALS (Necessary for
each day which class meets.):
EXPECTATIONS:
Ø
Quizzes
& Tests: The students will have a test or quiz on
alternating weeks. Quizzes will be
announced one or two days in advance, and tests will be announced one WEEK in
advance. “Pop” quizzes
are not part of the curriculum. All material on the
evaluation, as well as the format, will be written on the board and will be posted on my YCDS website. It is the student’s
responsibility to copy that information into his/her assignment notebook or in
the notes section of the French folder.
Each test or quiz will need to be signed by the parent or guardian.
Ø
Homework: Homework will be assigned most nights of the week, unless there is a
major holiday or event that evening.
In addition to the written work, it is strongly advised that the student
review his/her notes each day.
Assignments will be posted daily
on my YCDS website.

are devoted to assigning and explaining homework. The students are responsible for copying
it from a dedicated homework board.
